The Young Writers' Conference (YWC) is gearing up for its 10th year of producing professional seminars in area schools. This anniversary is a testament to the schools, educators and communities that believe in creating stimulating learning opportunities that empower our young students to be successful. The combination of inspiring keynote speakers, published authors, and noteworthy educators, all within the polished structure of a college conference, has proven, year after year, that students embrace being taken seriously and the opportunity to learn the skills that allow them to express themselves.
"We are delighted to have achieved this milestone," stated founder Julie Moore, "and thank the schools, parents and educators that supported our efforts and share our vision."
"From the beginning, we knew that creating an environment that was respectful of the students was crucial," continued co-founder Rena Svetic. "Producing a professional event and recruiting accomplished authors and speakers sets high expectations and shows students that they have support for increasing their skills and expressing their creativity."
This year, the organization will continue to create new learning opportunities, expand services, while most importantly, continuing to excite young scholars with the professional, original, Young Writers' Conference.
