The Young Writers’ Conference is pleased to announce their first summer writing camps.  The model employed in the day long conference is now spread across a week to provide students with a fun and extensive writing experience.

Specialized daily workshops will consist of sessions with professional writers in a variety of disciplines, structured writing with specially trained teachers, and time for creative writing.  At the end of the week, each young writer will have several developed pieces of creative writing that will be published by Scribble Press scribblepress.com.

Teachers at the Summer Conference will have received specific training by Dr. David Robertson, former fellow of the UCLA Writing Project and teacher-leader for the California Reading and Literature Project. Students will benefit from specialized one-on-one instruction and feedback from teachers, as well as group exercises, and mentoring from professional writers.
